Patrons partied from Sunday night into the wee hours of Monday morning from Grenville Street to Granby Street, Sharpe Street to Bay Street; all were eager to jam in a band or just paint their bodies.

The Mud Band title went to Red Devils with Rise taking the second spot followed by Chocolate.

J’Ouvert Fanatics won the “Ole Mas” competition for best band with their production “Mouth open J’Ouvert story jump out.”

Katie Daisy (right) was crowned Queen of J’Ouvert with her portrayal of “Pearl”. Annette Llewellyn took the second spot with “Party Animal” and Ellen Bailey had to settle for third place with her portrayal of “Ah lose me memory”.

King of J’Ouvert went to Aubrey Burgin with his portrayal of “Three of a Kind”. Coming in behind Burgin was Cecil “Cess” Mc Kie with “Global Warming” and Ainsley Primus with “US by CDC bound and gagged”. (KW)
