Dieta Tucker is Miss North Leeward 2007

After months of preparation 18-year-old Dieta Tucker was crowned Miss North Leeward. The feisty Community College student appeared as Miss Chateaubelair and surpassed four other contestants, also gaining the highest scores in the evening wear and interview segments.{{more}}

The event took place last Friday at the Petit Bordel Secondary School (PBSS) hard court and despite intermittent rain and some lengthy delays patrons were treated to a quality show. Donnet Gordon representing Fitzhuges and Arusha Corke of Rose Bank placed first and second runners-up respectively. Ansella Williams represented Rose Hall while Mikiesha Stapleton was Miss Spring Village.

During an interview Tucker told SEARCHLIGHT that she aspires to become a lawyer and Forensic Pathologist but she is keeping her options open to pursue other interests. The Mijé model said that she intends to enter the Miss St Vincent and the Grenadines pageant in 2009 hence the Miss North Leeward Crown is only the beginning for her.

Miss North Leeward 2007 credits her success to her mother and sister, also Jean Johnny, Jean Audain/Hinds, Doctor Love Bravehearts and Prestige Rentals her sponsor. “I dedicate this crown to my father Clem Tucker who was the original culture-man in Chato,” she said.

Tucker would like to wish her fellow contestants success in their endeavors also her supporters and critics. “I am humbled to be crowned Miss North Leeward and will do my best to be a good role model and Goodwill Ambassador,” she said.
