CDC names Miss Carival contestants

The ten contestants for this year’s Miss Carival Beauty Pageant have been named.

The Carnival Development Corporation on Tuesday, named the contestants for the pageant scheduled for July 6.{{more}}

The contestants are Anguilla’s Amber Woodley, Antigua and Barbuda’s Jamila Gregory, Bahamas’ Rebecca Johnson, Michelle Chetam Onyeche from Barbados, Ambuyah Ebanks from the Cayman Islands, Leandra Lander from Dominica, Maria Lopez from the Dominican Republic, Tesia Burton from St. Kitts and Nevis and Ariana Lozada from Venezuela.



The newly crowned Miss SVG Melissa Yorke will represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The contestants are expected here from July 2, and will be hosted by the Young Island Resort.

While in St. Vincent and the Grenadines the contestants are expected to be involved in a number of activities and visits, including a meet the press session on July 4.

This year’s pageant will see among other things, a featured performance by a group out of Cuba.
