Rihanna still on De Replay

Seventeen-year-old Robin Rihanna Fenty is still heating up the summer with her hit song, “Pon De Replay” after completing her first album called “Music of the Sun” which is now in stores across the United States.

The album has been described as 13 tracks of Caribbean flavoured tunes which include songs like “If It’s Lovin You Want” and of course the hit single “Pon De Replay.” {{more}}

But the Jigger Man, Jay Z, who spotted her talent made sure that Rihanna signed on to his record label Def Jam after she did an impromptu audition for him. No doubt Jay Z knows talent when he sees it.

Even the harshest musical critics are saying that, “Rihanna has star power and appeal that is refreshing to the ear.”

Rihanna was the No.1 most added single on the R&R Pop Chart, has surpassed many seasoned artistes on the Rick Dees Top 40 Music Show and has jumped from number 40 to number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts. And we haven’t talked about how she has been exploding on the radio.

Rihanna, who has co-written many of the songs on her album has collaborations with Vybes Kartel and Elephant Man on her debut album.

Described as the sweet natured

island girl from St. Michael, Barbados, Rihanna has come a long way since winning her high school’s beauty and talent pageants. She said her music could be compared to Callaloo,

where it’s all mixed up but creates a tasty pot. She explained: “I don’t want to be pigeon holed into just being a dance artiste, I can sing too. I have ballads on the album as well as upbeat tracks.”
