Sinks and countertops

We are still making decisions on our kitchen and here is another one you would have to decide on:

Decision # 2. I like the Hanex top stone counter tops but I don’t like the sinks I rather the stainless steel ones.{{more}}

Fabricating counter tops is fun for us here at Exclusive Kitchens Ltd, we love to see the finished look of the entire kitchen and the smile on the customer’s face.

After all of that though, we want to know 10 years down the road that you are still smiling.

Mounting a stainless steel sink under our counter tops spells trouble and disaster down the road for leakage and other foreseen and unforeseen problems. The ceramic sinks are installed using the glue design for the sinks and the counter top so it just cannot leak, you have to use silicone to install the stainless steel sink, you use a lot of detergent and dishwashing liquid in and around the sink area, silicone is classified as a greasy rubber base, these detergents are design to break down grease so overtime you would find your sink leaking regularly.

If that sink starts leaking you are going to have major problems… you are going to have mould issues, fungus issues, rotting of the base cabinet issues… Your family members especially the young ones could start getting sick very often for unexplainable reasons. You’re going to have foully smell issues and your drawers, especially if they are made from plywood, they are going to start powdering up, if it’s particle board, they are going to start falling apart, if it’s MDF, they are going to start sagging, then the joints are going to give way and then you are going to have major repair issues now.

I am not making this all sound bad, we have the experience over and over again so this is first hand information.
