Drinks for the kids
The kids’ vacation is upon us and these are easy and delicious recipes to keep them engaged.
You will need:
1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced (Frozen can be used as well)
2 cups lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7UP)
1 cup ice cubes
1 tablespoon strawberry syrup (optional for extra sweetness)
Fresh strawberries for garnish
Method:
Wash the strawberries thoroughly and slice them into thin pieces. For a stronger strawberry flavour, muddle a few slices in the glass to release their juices before adding other ingredients.
Fill your glass about halfway with ice cubes to keep the drink refreshingly cold. Pour the lemon-lime soda over the ice, leaving some room at the top for additional ingredients. Add a tablespoon of strawberry syrup for a richer strawberry flavour and stir gently to combine the flavours. Add a few whole strawberries on top for garnish.
Optionally, place a sliced strawberry on the rim of the glass for an extra pop of colour. Serve immediately and enjoy!
