Seventeen years have passed since you went to be with the lord
Treasured thoughts of one so dear
Often bring a silent tear
Thoughts of scenes long past
Years roll on but memories last
Though we cannot see you
We know you are here with us in our every thought
As we think about you each day
Though we cannot touch you
We feel the warmth of your smile
As we turn the pages to a new chapter in our lives
When we cease to think of you
Will be when God has called us too
Loving you always
Forgetting you never
Father, in thy gracious keeping
