First Drive Thru pharmacy comes to SVG

Persons, who become ill at night will no longer have to wait until morning to get medication. Newly opened is the Call-In Drive-Thru Pick-up 24 hours Pharmacy, the first of its kind in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Persons who gathered at the Variety Medical Complex at Arnos Vale witnessed history as the pharmacy opened its doors Tuesday evening.{{more}}

Mastermind behind the innovation, Dr Junior Ackie, said he saw the need for overnight treatment in St Vincent and the Grenadines. He said gone are the days when people keep medicine cabinets at their homes.

Dr Ackie told specially invited guests at the official opening ceremony that health care is one aspect of his life he takes seriously.

“Life does not end at 4 o’clock so this is a venture that would foster better health care in St Vincent.”

Irwin Martin, would be the main Pharmacist at the pharmacy along with Tricia Simon and Patricia Jones.
