US promises no backlash to Caribbean countries that refuse Third Country Deportees – Leacock

CARIBBEAN COUNTRIES WHO refuse to take third country deportees from the United States of America (USA) have been promised that they will not receive any backlash.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Major St. Clair Leacock, spoke on this issue on Wednesday, March 31, 2026 at a press conference at his office in Kingstown.

The press conference was held to discuss the outcomes of the recent Regional Security System (RSS) Council of Ministers and Security Chiefs meetings in Saint Lucia, and Major Leacock read out a series of written questions that had been “submitted” to USA authorities and the answers from the USA in response.
