Teen on bail after alleged cutlass attack on stepdad

A 16-YEAR- OLD was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 after he was charged with inflicting injuries on his stepfather’s hands with a cutlass.

Tyrik Malcolm appeared at the Serious Offences Court before Chief Magistrate Colin John, on March 30,2026 where he was charged that on March 22, 2026 at Redemption Sharpes he unlawfully and maliciously causes grievous bodily harm to Norman Seymour of Redemption Sharpes with intent so to do.

The matter was laid indictably so Malcolm was not required to plea. Prosecutor Renrick Cato, did not object to Malcolm’s bail.
