John dominates in the All-Leeward Athletics Championship

SENIOR LONG-DISTANCE athlete Kesiann John of Central Leeward Secondary School (CLSS) delivered an outstanding performance at the annual All-Leewards Athletics Championship, held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Cumberland Playing Field in North Leeward.

John emerged as one of the meet’s most dominant competitors, excelling in multiple events and contributing to her school’s continued legacy of athletic excellence. Her performances were instrumental in CLSS securing its tenth consecutive championship title.

In an interview with SEARCHLIGHT on Monday, February 23, 2026, John reflected on the achievement, saying, “being a part of the school that made ten consecutive wins, I feel good and proud as always”. The disciplined training at CLSS has played a pivotal role in John’s success.

She outlined that the team trains on evenings during the school week engaging in structured sessions that include gym workouts, speed drills, and recovery, runs.
