Gonsalves celebrates 32 years as representative for North Central Windward
FORMER PRIME MINISTER and Leader of the Opposition in St.Vincent and the Grenadines Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, celebrated 32 unbroken years of parliamentary representation for the constituency of North Central Windward. The occasion was marked by a number of activities, including two talk-show appearances, a supermarket shopping outing, and the presentation of a plaque to him while on air by the North Central Windward Unity Labour Party executive on behalf of the constituency.
Making his debut appearance on the social media talk show hosted by Charlie ‘Farmboy’ Brown out of England on Saturday, Dr. Gonsalves was asked, “What… really made you want to be a politician… what make you really want to go down this road and serve the people”?
In response the veteran politician said, “First of all, I want to thank you for having me and all those who are with you on the programme. Where I was born and where I grew up in Colonaire were close to two estates…
Colonaire Estate and Bellevue Estate”.
