Government proceeding ‘in total transparency’ with CBI – PM

THE New Democratic Party government will fulfil its election promise by implementing a Citizenship by Investment programme (CBI), now that it has been elected into office.

This was clearly stated on Monday, February 9, 2026 by Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Dr. Godwin Friday as he delivered the 2026 Budget address in Parliament, just under two weeks after presenting the 2026 EC$1.9 billion Estimates of Income and Expenditure.

“Madam Speaker, a word about the Citizenship by Investment programme; we will implement it.”
