Leaders should govern for the benefit of all – GG

NEWLY APPOINTED Governor General, Stanley John (KC), has called on all members of Parliament to rise to the challenge of governing the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).

The Governor General made the call while delivering his maiden Throne Speech at the opening of the First Session of the 12th Parliament of St Vincent and the Grenadines yesterday, Monday, February 9, 2026.

This followed the late afternoon ceremonial opening of Parliament at its temporary location at Glen at which the Governor General outlined the government’s policy platform and legislative agenda for the 2026 financial year.
