Georgetown School for children with special needs marks 40 years
THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION has extended hearty congratulations to the School for Children with Special Needs in Georgetown on the attainment of its 40th anniversary.
This congratulations came through Senior Education Officer (SEO), Elizabeth Austin, as she spoke at the school’s anniversary thanksgiving service on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at the New Testament Church in Georgetown held under the theme: Educating Exceptional Minds for Future Challenges.
In congratulating the school, its past and present staff and students, Austin declared that the occasion was indeed momentous.
She reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment “ to strengthening special needs education through improved resources, professional development, inclusive policies, and an innovative learning environment that prepares every learner for life.”
