Herbert recalled as Clerk of House
NICOLE HERBERT, who served as Clerk of the House of Assembly for 25 years has been called out of retirement for active service.
A notice dated December, 17 2025 from the Department of the Clerk of the House of Assembly notifies that there will be a meeting of the House of Assembly on Tuesday, December 23 2025 at 4.00 p.m. The notice was initialled by Herbert who retired in June, 2023.
At the final sitting of Parliament at the Court House Building in Kingstown where the announcement of her retirement was made, the Speaker, Rochelle Forde paying tribute for her contribution stated that Herbert is a woman of God “with a smiling, calm disposition”, who had given dedicated service to the House of Assembly “and has led her team at the office with excellence”, eliciting loud applause from Members of Parliament.
