1,500 get Salvation Army Christmas hampers
THE SALVATION ARMY continued its long-standing tradition of community outreach with the distribution of 1,500 Christmas hampers on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at its Headquarters in Kingstown.

The annual initiative, financed primarily from its annual Christmas kettle appeal, saw a steady flow of beneficiaries, many of whom had registered on December 10 and 11, arriving at the Salvation Army headquarters throughout the day.
Officers were stationed at the entrance to assist with order, as recipients waited patiently both inside and outside the compound.
In an interview with SEARCHLIGHT, Commanding Officer Captain Wilkings Buissereth, spoke about the challenges faced this year.
