Shallow does not consider himself a ‘career politician’
CRICKET ADMINISTRATOR and newly appointed Minister of Tourism and Maritime Affairs, Dr. Kishore Shallow has made it clear that he will be in elected office as a politician for as long as the people want him there. He explained that he does not consider himself a “career politician”, but as long as he could add value to his team and the goal of advancing the country then he would be committed. In an exclusive interview with SEARCHLIGHT yesterday, December 15, 2025, Shallow said, “the truth is if you make a real positive impact then you won’t need to stay on forever”.
He highlighted a few of his plans for the constituency of North Leeward emphasising that tourism would be improved.
“The reason why I chose tourism as a priority and why I am quite happy with the portfolio I have as Minister of Tourism now is that I really, genuinely believe…that North Leeward is the most beautiful place on the mainland,” and the constituency has a lot of potential and sites that could be developed to stimulate the economy of the area and St Vincent and the Grenadines as a whole. He listed areas such as Troumaca Bottom Bay, Dark View Falls, Cumberland, and Richmond that could be advanced.
