Community Organiser to take legal action against the police
PRESIDENT of the Central Kingstown Development Organisation (CKDO), Leroy Rock, said he has retained the services of a lawyer and will be pursuing legal action against two members of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) whom he alleges injured him.
Rock told SEARCHLIGHT that on Monday, December 8,2025 Minister of National Security and Immigration, and parliamentary representative for Central Kingstown, Major St. Clair Leacock, drove up to him while he was on a pedestrian crossing on James Street and asked him if he had handed over the keys to the community centre in Redemption Sharpes.
Rock said the CKDO was at that point the custodian for the community centre, and when Leacock was in opposition, he had on several occasions sought permission and was allowed to use the centre.
Rock said that on Tuesday, November 9, 2025 he went to the Central Police Station in Kingstown to conduct some business, and a senior police officer approached him and told him he was needed at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
