Mother believes her ‘missing’ daughter is dead
VIOLA ADAMS, the mother of 36-year-old Lyda “Sherika” Adams, strongly believes her daughter is dead. The Barrouallie woman, said to be six months pregnant at the time has been reported missing since early in November.
The mother also feels that investigators are not doing enough to solve what she thinks is the 39th homicide in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) for 2025.
Lyda, also known as Sherika is said by her family to have left her mother’s Keartons Hill home on Saturday, November 8, 2025, and went to Bequia to meet her boyfriend, with whom he is said to have had a tumultuous relationship.
The mother is appealing to persons who may know what happened to her daughter to come forward, as she said her daughter would never stay this long and not contact her family.
