Leacock predicts clean sweep for NDP
One of the vice presidents of the New Democratic Party (NDP), St Clair Leacock, is predicting a clean sweep for that party in the general elections which will be held in St Vincent and the Grenadines on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
He made the prediction at a meeting of the NDP on Wednesday night, November 19, 2025 at Riley in the Marriaqua Constituency.
Leacock called on the gathering to “be a part of this historic change next Thursday, when the New Democratic Party sweeps clear across St Vincent and the Grenadines and brings us into redemption day”.
Leacock went on to add ,”Next Friday, a new dawn descends upon us in St Vincent”.
The NDP Central Kingstown candidate also called on party supporters to “stay loyal to your party.”.
Leacock considers the run up to next Thursday’s election to be a “unique time in the political history of St Vincent and the Grenadines”.
He also expressed confidence that “if the country ever needed change, that time is now”.
Next Thursday November 27, the Unity Labour Party(ULP) and the New Democratic Party (NDP) are fielding a full slate of 15 candidates each in the 15 constituencies being contested.
The ruling Unity Labour Party was first elected into office in the 2001 general elections, and is seeking a sixth consecutive term in office.
