Army aims for $200,000 from Kettle Appeal
The Salvation Army launched its annual Christmas Kettle Appeal for 2025 at Heritage Square on November 14, with a target of $200,000.
And, retired public servant Laura Anthony Browne, who had invited a child from the Salvation Army to spend Christmas with her family, is encouraging Vincentians to give generously to the appeal noting that the kettle is a symbol of compassion.
Browne, who was the featured speaker at the event, said she was humbled, yet very privileged to have the opportunity to address persons at the launch of 2025 Kettle Appeal.
“…in the words of former United States of American president- Barack Obama, I suggest….and encourage that, even amidst everything that is happening to us, that we have the audacity to hope and so as we enter into the Advent and the Christmas season….
