Vinlec rewards winners in National Science and Technology Fair
Participants from primary and secondary schools from across St Vincent and the grenadines (SVG) received their accolades at the closing and prize-giving ceremony of the VINLEC National Science and Technology Fair on Friday November 14, 2025 at the Methodist Church Hall, Kingstown.
The event was hosted by the Ministry of Education and the St Vincent Electricity Services Limited (VINLEC), and saw students from across the state receiving prizes and trophies. Topping the Secondary Schools category were the Girls’ High School (GHS); St Joseph’s Convent Kingstown; and the Bishop’s College, Kingstown.
The top primary schools were Canouan Government; Lower Bay School Inc, Bequia; and Mustique Primary.
In her remarks, Education Officer Heather Mc Calmon, commented on the number of students who participated.
“The fair was held under the theme Bridging science and Technology,” she pointed out.
“Over 300 students participated with a staging of over 150 exhibits,” she added, and congratulated all the students who attended the prize giving ceremony.
