PM pays tribute to Dr Providence
PRIME MINISTER Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has paid tribute to former medical director Dr. Timothy Providence, telling radio listeners on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 that the obstetrician- gynaecologist once saved the life of his wife, Eloise Gonsalves.
Dr. Timothy Providence, a former Medical Director of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH), Chair of the Health and Wellness Commission, Medical Registration Board, and Medical Accreditation Board, was attending a health meeting on Wednesday morning, October 29, 2025 when he took ill. He died that morning. He was buried on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
“I am highly indebted, on a personal level, to Tim Providence, because in 1990 he saved Eloise’s life,” the Prime Minister said.
