Kentreal Kydd, Paralympic swimmer continues to make waves
BEING THE ONLY Paralympic swimmer at the 33rd Annual Organisation of the Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Swimming Championships, 19-year-old Kentreal Kydd, made several personal bests in the races in which he competed. The championships took place at the Shrewsbury Aquatic Center in Ratho Mill, St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) hosted by the SVG Swimming Federation (SVGSF), from November 7 to 9, 2025.
“On Friday November 7, my personal best in the 100 meter was 1 minute and 19.78 seconds,” Kydd, told SEARCHLIGHT.
“On Saturday, November 8 in the 15 meters breast stroke, I made the time of 44.22 seconds, and on Sunday November 9, in the 100 meters freestyle- 1 minute and 10.41 seconds, and 35.8 seconds in the 50 meters backstroke”, Kydd recounted.
