Top students receive awards
STAND OUT STUDENTS in the 2025 Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE), as well as those who excelled in Associate Degree programmes offered by the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC), were publicly recognised yesterday, Thursday, October 23, 2025 at the National Schools’ Independence Rally. Some 84 top performers received National scholarships, exhibitions, and bursaries, and the top two performers walked away with the Prime Minister’s Award. The package, costing over $20-million, will help the recipients through the next stage of their Tertiary Education journey at universities.
“ There was a time when there used to be four,” the Prime Minister told students, lecturers, parents, and a host of other supporters of the recipient students at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex.
SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS wait their turn to receive their awards at the National Schools’ Independence Rally yesterday.
“The numbers have increased phenomenally, exponentially, and I have made it plain to all the students that if you reach the required level…it doesn’t matter how many of you, I will find the money to send you off to university.”
