THE WINNERS in the 2025 icode784 competition organised by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC), have been released following the Grand Finale on Wednesday, October 22, 2025; and the St Martin’s Secondary School came out tops in the Robotics category.
At the hybrid finals, held at the Kingstown Baptist Church, winners in the three categories of competition emerged after an elimination process.
The 2025 icode784 competition was held in three categories: Robotics, the Secondary Mobile Application; and the Open Category with preliminary judging being done in zones on July 29, August 19, and October 3 and 6, 2025. Teams from multiple secondary schools; the valedictorian teams from the NTRC Myapp summer programmes; and members of the public were judged, and 30 teams from all categories competed in the Grand Finale on October 22.
At the competition, each team had seven minutes to present. After the presentation, the judges had five minutes to ask questions. For Robotics, competitors were judged based on object collecting and sorting. The Mobile app and Open categories were judged on creativity, user experience, and solution development and technology. There was also online voting.
