Own your future – Senator Peters
Government Senator Keisal Peters, has called on Vincentians to do the right thing for “we have to own the future,” as she addressed a massive crowd at the Calliaqua Playing Field on Sunday, October, 19, 2025 during the Unity Labour Party’s ‘Red and Ready’ Rally.

Despite the country being under a flood watch from 6’o’clock that morning, thousands turned up to hear what the ULP speakers had to say and to also enjoy the music from Jamaican artiste, Chronic Law.
“We have to believe that the people can help us to shape it,” stated Peters, who was among several speakers at the event.
“Over the last 24 years, you, the people, have helped this government to shape and change the landscape of St Vincent and the Grenadines. So when we build schools, we are not just pouring concrete, we are laying the foundation for your children’s future. When we build roads and bridges, we are lifting the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. But comrades, the future does not belong to those who sit on the sidelines and complain. It belongs to those who stand up, get up, and grab the future and take what is yours.”
