Tremors force evacuation of Financial Complex building
The Financial Complex, the building that houses the Office of the Prime Minister, and other government ministries and departments, was evacuated on Monday, October, 6, 2025 after tremors were felt by its occupants.
However, a worker from one of the offices told SEARCHLIGHT that this is not the first time that tremors have been felt in the administrative complex.
“This is the first time that the building has been evacuated, but this is not the first time I have felt shaking. Sometimes I would think my mind was playing tricks,” the worker, who did not want to be identified, told SEARCHLIGHT.
She said that most workers were asked to leave sometime after 1:00 p.m. while others left after 2:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, reports are that engineers have been inspecting the building, and checks show that no seismic activity was recorded in the region on Monday.
