Sandals signs agreement for Hotel at Mt Wynne

An agreement for the construction of a $500 million hotel resort at Mt Wynne, was signed on Monday, October 6, 2025 between the government of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), and Sandals Resorts International.

The Sandals Resort, under the Beaches brand, is expected to provide employment for around 2,000 people when it is at full capacity.

“…every facet of this hotel will be the best of the best, and it would not have happened without the support, without the mutual respect between the people of this country and organisation…”, Executive Chairman of Sandals, Adam Stewart said at the signing ceremony held on the premises of Sandals, SVG at Buccament.

Stewart said the design work will begin in 2026 “and we will move as expeditiously as we can”.

Prime Minister, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves speaking at the function, gave a  background on the Sandals eventual presence in SVG, noting that it began with conversations between him and the late Gordon ‘Butch” Stewart, the Sandals pioneer.
