Ferry Terminal to open in Union Island this weekend
A third ferry terminal in the Southern Grenadines will be handed over on Saturday, October 11, 2025, this time in Union Island.
The Union Island Ferry Terminal at Clifton, is the biggest of the three terminals.
Other terminals have been built and handed over on Saleine Bay, Mayreau; and in Grand Bay, Canouan, having been built by the government in collaboration with British businessman, Ian Wace and his Gumbolimbo Group.
The terminals on Canouan and Mayreau were opened on July,1, 2025, exactly one year after Hurricane Beryl ravaged the Southern Grenadines. The Union Island Terminal, which features an open-air market and several shops will come into operation this Saturday.
