Leacock names Neptune as his ‘right-hand man’

Vice President of the New Democratic Party (NDP), Major St Clair Leacock has already decided who he wants to be very close to him should the party win the next general elections in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Leacock let the proverbial cat out the bag when he spoke at an NDP meeting in Chili Village in Georgetown on Friday, September,19, 2025.

“ When I win and I become Minister of National Security, I want Chieftan to be my right hand man,”he told persons attending the meeting.

Leacock intimated that when the party wins the upcoming general elections, he will be sure to speak to NDP leader, Dr Godwin Friday about this plan.

Chieftan Neptune, the NDP’s candidate for North Central Windward, will come up against Prime Minister and leader of the Unity Labour Party (ULP), Dr Ralph Gonsalves, and the NDP meeting was in support of their candidate gaining a strong footing in the constituency.

Leacock indicated that because of his plans for Neptune, he had to travel all the way to Georgetown to lend his support.
