Police officer charged with stabbing girlfriend on $30,000 bail
A police officer, charged with stabbing his ex-girlfriend about her body with a knife and a pair of scissors, was granted bail in the sum of $30,000 .
Kyle Nimblet, 23, appeared at the Serious Offences Court, before Chief Magistrate, Colin John, on September 16, 2023 where he was granted bail for attempted murder; damage to property; and trespassing onto a property with a weapon.
Nimblet was granted bail in the sum of $30,000 with one surety, and was ordered to report to the Port Elizabeth Police Station on Mondays and Fridays.
He was also ordered not to have any contact with the virtual complainant, and to surrender all travel documents. Stop notices were ordered placed at all points of entry and exits. His matter is adjourned to October 16, 2025.
