Ollivierre promises Ministry of Grenadines Development under NDP
OPPOSITION MEMBER of parliament for the Southern Grenadines, Terrance Ollivierre is promising a better life for the people of the constituency under a New Democratic Party (NDP) administration.
Speaking at a party meeting in Ashton, Union Island, on Sunday, September, 7, 2025, Ollivierre promised that if the NDP is voted into office, they will establish a full fledged ministry to look after the affairs of the people in the Grenadines.
It will be a Ministry of Grenadines Development and Affairs.
Ollivierre told residents this ministry will ensure that the people have a say in the development of the islands in the Grenadines.
Pointing to “the terrible condition” of some of the roads on Union Island, Ollivierre also promised the establishment of a system of Local Government that will address such problems.
He complained that the roads in Union Island now, are “worse than ever.”
“Why are you treating our people like that?” he questioned.
“Under a New Democratic Party government, roads will be fixed,” the Southern Grenadines MP promised.
