North Windward elderly enjoy ‘Age with Grace’ at Sandy Bay
SCORES OF NORTH Windward residents turned out to the Sandy Bay Primary School on Saturday, September 13, 2025 to take part in a body care and wellness event.
“It is a pleasure to have you with us today, and we’re going to take pleasure in caring for you,” Grace Walters, the Unity Labour Party’s candidate for North Windward told those who had turned out for the event.
“You have done a magnificent job of raising children, of taking care of children, so it is only fitting for us to give back to you, and we do hope that today is one of the many days when we will do something like this to show our appreciation to you for all that you have done for us,” Walters told the gathering on Sunday morning.
The event, dubbed ‘Age with Grace’ saw scores of elderly residents being treated to pedicures, manicures, hair care, and other treatments by different professionals.
Present were members of the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Diabetic and Hypertensive Association, along with three medical personnel one of whom is the coordinator for audiometric technicians in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).
Using from a food portions display, Dr Walters went through a brief presentation of the foods people who are living with diabetes should eat, and reminded them of the consequences of not paying close attention to their diets.
