Petersville Primary School celebrates 60th anniversary with new initiatives

SINCE OPENING ITS DOORS six decades ago, the Petersville Primary School has prepared generations of students for academic success, with many of its graduates advancing to secondary institutions such as the St. Vincent Grammar School, Girls’ High School, and the St. Martin’s Secondary School.

As part of this milestone year, the school is unveiling several new initiatives beginning September 1, 2025, designed to expand opportunities for young learners and restore Petersville to its former glory.

New term highlights include expanded enrolment (now accepting children from age 4), after-school programme (extended hours until 5:00 p.m.), and providing supervision and activities beyond the regular school day (for students from other schools as well).

With a new board of management comprised of educators, lawyers, doctors, and community leaders, Petersville is entering a new chapter of growth and renewal. The team is committed to building on the school’s strong foundation laid by its founder, Rosalind

Peters, while expanding its offerings to meet the needs of modern-day families. “We want Petersville to once again be a leading name in education. Our focus is on early childhood learning, strong academics, and a rich after school programme that nurtures every child’s talent,” said Leroy Rock, one of the members of the new board of management.
