Leacock vows to ‘Strip’ Fraser in Central Kingstown

Incumbent parliamentary representative for the Central Kingstown constituency, St Clair ‘Major’ Leacock has promised to “strip” his political opponent in that constituency, in the next general elections in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG)due this year.

The governing Unity Labour Party (ULP) has selected Marvin Fraser as its candidate for Central Kingstown, and he has expressed the view that he has a good chance of wresting the seat from the ‘Major’.

However, Leacock, who has represented the constituency on a New Democratic Party ticket since the 2010 general election, has sent a warning to the newcomer.

“I will strip you piece by piece,” Leacock promised at meeting the NDP in Green Hill on Tuesday night, June 3, 2025.

Both Fraser and Leacock are former presidents of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVGFF).

Describing Fraser as “envious”, Leacock said that “the whole story will be told in the fullness of time.”

“You all have a way of grudgefully, dishonestly, and corruptively supporting wutlessness,” Leacock stated to those attending the meeting in person and listening online.
