Female Grammar School teacher shot

A teacher of the St Vincent Grammar School (SVGS), who was shot over the weekend, is now a patient at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH).

Nadine Delpesche, 35, a teacher of French and English, was shot on Saturday, around 1 p.m., at an apartment she rents at Carapan. She has an eight-year-old son, who was at home at the time of the shooting.

Reports are that Delpesche was in her kitchen, when a man entered the apartment and shot her three times. She was rushed to the Stubbs polyclinic and later transferred to the MCMH, where she underwent emergency surgery. She is now warded in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the hospital.

Delpesche’s landlord told SEARCHLIGHT that she was not at home at the time of the shooting and she has no idea what happened or why. She said that Delpesche keeps to herself.
