Who will take the crown at Miss SVG Pageant 2014?

After months of preparation and anticipation, a new Miss SVG will be crowned at Victoria Park tomorrow night.{{more}}

The eight contestants will compete in the swimwear, talent, evening gown and interview categories in a show which begins at 8 p.m.

The contestants for Miss SVG 2014 are Miss Metrocint General Insurance Company, Selis Blair; Miss Lotto, Jamilla Neverson; Miss Mustique Company Ltd. Karla Gellizeau; Miss Super 6, Vanika Hope; Miss Agricultural Input Warehouse, Shackell Bobb; Miss LIME, Shadeisha Geroge; Miss Bequia Beach Hotel, Tatiana Lespierre; and Miss Imperial Optical, Fellisa Baptiste.

The winner of Saturday night’s competition will then go on to represent St Vincent and the Grenadines in the Miss Carival show, slated for July 4.

She will also walk away with a university scholarship, valued at EC$80,000, EC$8,000 from the Carnival Development Corporation, a laptop computer from Courts St Vincent Ltd and gifts from various business houses in St Vincent and the Grenadines and abroad.

The first-runner up will receive EC$5,000 from the CDC and gifts from various business houses, while the second-runner up will receive EC$3,000 from the CDC and gifts from businesses houses.

The remaining contestants will receive EC$1,000 from the CDC and gifts from business houses.(BK)
