Three young men, all of Redemption Sharpes, will re-appear in court on December 1, 2011 to answer murder charges.{{more}}
Dwayne Stephens, 21, Andre John, 17 and a 15-year-old boy were hauled before the Serious Offences Court yesterday, for causing the death of 19-year-old Andy John, also of Redemption Sharpes, on Wednesday, July 6.
The three were not required to plead to the indictable charges and were all remanded to Her Majestyâs Prison.
In addition to murder, the boys and young man were also charged with unlawfully discharging a firearm at Kenroy Williams.
They were also charged with using a firearm with intent to commit murder on Levi Lyttle of Redemption Sharpes and unlawful discharging of a firearm at Lyttle.
Andre John was charged with being in possession of a firearm without a license.
Police reports say that some time before 2 am on Wednesday, July 6, gunshots were heard in Redemption Sharpes. When police responded to calls, Johnâs body was found with a gunshot wound to the chest, in the area called âRocksâ, not too far from where the deceased resided. (KW)
