Police are investigating reports that the woman, in her twenties, was attacked by her father at around 2 pm that day, while she was lying in her bedroom at their Ashton, Union Island, home.
According to a police source, the woman said that when she saw her father enter her room, she asked him what he was doing with the knife in her room, and he said that he was going to kill her.
The young woman, who received a cut to her neck and under her chin, was treated and is expected to recover from the wounds.
The man hid from police, but on Sunday, September 14, asked someone to take him to the hospital to be treated for the wound to his neck. He was then transported to Kingstown by the Coast Guard to receive treatment for his injuries. (KJ)
