Girl rid of evil spirits in city

Was a demon-possessed young girl exorcised in Kingstown on Monday?

Lenny Francois believes so.{{more}} The 54-year-old postal worker claims that with the help of God, he was able to save a teenager.

According to Francois (photo below), he had been on his way to lunch when he was approached by a woman and her two children.

“She was saying to me “I don’t do nobody nothing. I don’t know what happen to my children, I don’t know why this child have to be so possessed.”

As Francois stood under the gallery of the post office speaking to the woman, he said the strangest thing happened.

“All of a sudden the little girl start to say to me, ‘I am ah angel. I come down from Heaven. I am ah angel.’”

The postal worker said that from his religious experience, he realized that the girl, who he guessed to be about 16-years-old, was demon possessed.

He said that he then laid his hand on the youngster and began to pray for her.

Francois claimed that he ordered the demon to “Shut up in the name of Jesus Christ and come out,” to which a coarse voice replied, “I ain’t coming out, I ain’t coming out!”

By this time, a large crowd had gathered around Francois, the young woman and her family.

Francois said that some who had gathered joined him in praying for the girl, who was behaving in a strange manner.

“Then I say, ‘The blood of Jesus Christ is against you. Satan, come out!”

“And all of a sudden, the child get weak, and the voice inside the child say ‘Ah gone, but ah coming back.’”

Following this, Francois claims that he returned to work because by the time he had finished, his lunch hour was over.

He believes that although the evil spirit left the girl, it will return.

Francois, who claims to have been a born again Christian for the past 13 or so years, indicated that this was not the first time he cast out an evil spirit; he claims to have done so once before in Trinidad.

The former calypsonian, who sang under the name ‘Lord Surpriser’, also says that he is gifted with prophesy, having predicted a number of past incidents like the eruption of La Soufriere volcano in 1979, Hurricane Ivan in 2004, September 11th, 2001, and others.

He also claims to have told his coworkers two years ago about a change in the United States government, where more than likely a black man will be the next president.

A member of the Faith Outreach Pentecostal Church of Green Hill, Francois said although he has been having these dreams and visions, he had never taken them seriously, but now sees that God wants to use him.

“I don’t want to puff my chest, I always do things simple and easy, just humble. God is using me and showing me things.”

During his free time, the postal worker accompanies his wife to the hospital where they visit the sick.

He regrets that he did not spend more time on Monday with the family to get their contact information so that he could pray more for the child.

Francois believes she needs more prayer, so that the demon does not return.
