Denise Walters who, along with her husband George, is the owner of Keystone Incorporated, told SEARCHLIGHT that her family has been receiving threats following the stabbing death of Fitzroy “Poison” Browne.

Browne was stabbed to death outside the Peace Memorial Hall at around 7 p.m. on Monday, April 7.

Devon Ambris, a 17-year-old secondary school student, who is George Walter’s nephew, has been charged with causing Browne’s death.

“Somebody threatened my husband saying that the boy’s death will not go like that, and now I am scared for my children,” Denise told SEARCHLIGHT.

The mother of four said that she wouldn’t like something to happen to her children (three are in St Vincent) for something that neither she nor her husband had anything to do with.

“I am deeply sorry about what happened, but we had nothing to do with it. It has nothing to do with me and my family,” Walters said.

A professed Christian, Walters said that what happened to Browne is really tragic and said that she hopes his family will get the strength to cope with the pain.

“I pray that young men will see that violence is not the answer to solving their problems. These are the last days. They need to turn to God,’ she said.

At press time, she and her husband had planned to make an official report to the police about the threats they say they have received. (KJ)
