08.June.07

Today’s Opposition-led protest is an act of desperation that would be ignored by right thinking people.

This is the strong view of Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves.{{more}}

Speaking to SEARCHLIGHT on Wednesday, June 6, Dr Gonsalves said that he is not concerned about the opposition’s action because their argument on all

the major issues in the country are flawed.

He said that from the issue of the Medical College to the Moko disease facing the banana industry, the opposition is not dealing with the issues but is simply

practicing partisan politics.

“All these issues are being

dealt with effectively by the Government,” Dr Gonsalves said.

Parliament, which was scheduled for yesterday is also expected to continue today and Dr Gonsalves, during a press conference on Wednesday said that he would advise the opposition parliamentarians to come to parliament and do the job they are being paid to do.(KJ)
