A nineteen-year-old is now facing a charge of murder, upgraded from a charge of attempted murder, of an Edinboro man.
Asbert Rodney was arrested and charged with the attempted murder of Christopher Wilson on September 22.
The victim in the matter had previously been in a semi-conscious state at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, but succumbed to the injuries he received to his head, and died on October 8.
Subsequently, the prosecution moved to charge Rodney with causing the death of Wilson.
The charge was officially laid on October 12 at the Serious Offences Court.
The preliminary inquiry to the case will begin at the Serious Offences Court on 23rd January 2018. Until that time, Rodney is to remain in custody.(KR)
