Two men relieved of murder charges

The Director of Public Prosecutions discontinued murder charges against Kelwyn Gloster and Paul Nicholls last Thursday, January 26.

Gloster and Nicholls were among five men charged with the murder of Dwen Javed Prospere, a St Lucian national, somewhere between Morne Ronde and Wallilabou, on October 8, 2012.

On Tuesday, October 16, 2012, Noel Franklyn, 27, a farmer of Chateaubelair/Barrouallie; Gloster, 27, a labourer; Nicholls, 32, a mason; Alistair Gould, 26, a labourer; and Bernard Barbour, 21, a labourer, were arrested and charged with the murder of Prospere, who was then an unidentified man. The five men were remanded into custody.(AS)
