PI into real estate agent murder continues next week
The Preliminary Inquiry into a matter in which Veron Primus is charged with the murder of popular real estate agent Sharleen Greaves will continue next Tuesday, January 17, 2017.{{more}}
The inquiry saw eight witnesses giving testimony at the Serious Offences Court during three consecutive days of questioning.
Last Friday, the court heard an emotional recollection from Greavesâ part-time employee Delroy Haywood and from her ex-husband of five years, Grant Greaves, who told the court that he and Sharleen maintained a good relationship.
So far, the court has also accepted testimonies from seven persons, including two certified doctors, two police officers, Greavesâs mother and her secretary.
The late real estate agent was found stabbed to death at her Bijou Real Estate office in Arnos Vale on November 13, 2015.
Her Suzuki Escudo vehicle was found abandoned in the Wilson Hill area hours after her body was discovered and reports are that a search at Primusâ home on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, turned up a motor vehicle key, which opened the doors of Greavesâs jeep and turned over the ignition.
The accused, Primus, is also charged with one count of kidnapping, two counts of rape and two counts of buggery, allegedly committed between January 1 and April 15 last year at Vermont.While investigating the kidnapping of Vermont resident Mewanah Hadaway, police are said to have unearthed evidence linking Primus to Greavesâs murder.
About 40 witnesses are expected to take the stand in this matter. (AS)
