Man fined $475 for cannabis possession
Eldon Browneâs claim that the cannabis he had in his possession was for a friend did not help him escape liability.{{more}}
On May 20, Browne was arrested at Villa for possession of two plastic bags of cannabis weighing 181 grams.
He was taken to the Calliaqua Police Station, where two Ziploc bags of cannabis, each weighing 10 grams, were later found in his waist.
âThem two small portion of weed is for me to smoke,â he said.
At the Serious Offences Court on Monday, Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias cautioned Browne before fining him $400 for the larger amount and $75 for the smaller amount.(CA)
