Francis was served with notice of the revocation on Tuesday, March 29, the same day he appeared in court to answer a gun-related charge.

The revocation of Francis’ licence was confirmed by chairperson of the Firearms Licensing Board Godfred Pompey, in response to an enquiry from SEARCHLIGHT.

The Queen’s Drive resident was charged that on March 27 at Port Elizabeth, Bequia, with intent to commit an offence to wit “discharging a loaded firearm did an act which is more than merely preparatory to the commission of the offence.”

When he appeared before the Serious Offences court on March 29, Francis pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000, with one surety.

Francis is expected to report to the Central Police Station every Friday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. (AS)
