Police officer charged with rape of ex-girlfriend
A constable in the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force has been charged with the rape of his ex-girlfriend.{{more}}
The police officer appeared at the Family Court on Tuesday this week and was granted bail in the sum of $8,000.
He was also charged with damage to property, to wit, one toilet, indecent assault and wounding.
The law officer was not required to plead to the charges, which were laid indictable.
The incidents are alleged to have taken place on January 25, 2015.
SEARCHLIGHT understands that the police officer has been suspended from work.(KW)
